My apartment unit recently adopted what they call "concierge" garbage service. They gave each resident a garbage container that we can put outside our door for them to pick up. Items must be placed in closed garbage bags so they can be easily grabbed out of the container. Regular opaque garbage bags are OK for routine garbage. However, if we're putting out recycling items, they require us to use see-through bags so they can verify that the items qualify for recycling.
I was unable to find clear recycling bags at any of my local stores. These bags have a slightly blue-ish tint. Although they're not completely clear, their contents are easily visible, so the apartment managers are quite satisfied with them.
These bags are very heavy-duty quality, so they don't rip with heavy or sharp items. I would definitely recommend these bags and will buy them again.
