We have a Simple Human trash bin that has 1 bin for trash and one for recycling. The Simple Human H recycle bags were hard to find so we ordered these and they appear to be short but they actually fit the length of the bin, they are just a little wider at the top but they work for our unit. There is no scent to them, they seem a little thinner than the simple human bags but they do the job and we haven't had an issue.

Be careful when taking a bag off of the roll.

PROS: These bags are exactly what I wanted. They are unscented as far as I can tell, sturdy, see through and large enough to fit my brown waste basket. I believe they are also recyclable, but that is not why I bought them. I use them to dispose of my non-recyclable items and they work perfectly. We do have a problem with people going through our trash cans, and if they can't see what's in them, they tear the bag apart so the trash is scattered when the truck empties the bin. That hasn't happened since I've been using these.
CONS: They come in a continuous large roll. When taking them off of the roll, the perforation does not tear correctly and you wind up tearing the bottom of the bag out. It starts out doing well, but about halfway thru, it hangs up. I have learned to go very slowly when separating the bags and they do very well. I just wanted to let everyone be aware of this fact.

Gets the job done, but not a lot else

When we moved into our new house, we had a built in trash/bottle bin that had a medium size bag. Trying to find good medium sized drawstring bags is not an easy task, as many of you may have experienced. I bought these because they were not too expensive and were the right size. After using several, these have their pros and cons.
The best part about these bags is the price. You're literally paying for something to throw away, so the less you spend on it, the better. These are a lot of bags for a reasonable amount of money. They're also easy to open, and the drawstrings are sturdy and don't rip out.
The bags, though, are not really sturdy. They remind me of the clear trash bags you may remember from grade school. They don't stretch much, and if they tear, that tear tends to run and expand, requiring a second bag to keep everything together. Fortunately, we haven't had a ton of bags tear, which is pretty good. Regardless, it's not a deal-breaker, and they get the job done. YMMV.

Tear Easily on Sides Where Drawstrings "Meet"

Since these bags are connected horizontally (the pull tabs tun along one side consistent through the roll) if you rip them apart to quickly, or even at all, when tied, sometimes the corners will rip. And it has caused some issues (minor) with my complex picking up my bag of recycling. Also, sometimes, when stretched over a NORMAL sized recyclcying bin, they can also rip a the corners where the drawstrings would "meet".
Next time around, I'll seek a more expensive brand so that my complex won't refuse to grab my recycling from my door just because the bag "ripped" a little.
