We have three different small trash cans in our house and these fit them all. On the shortest ones I twist the end of the excess and tie it in a little loose knot. The bags stay nice and secure in the can. To remove, just pull it off, untie the knot (very easy to do) and tie the bag up tight. The bags are clear and don't have any printing on them, so they look attractive in the cans.

The height of the bag is perfect. But the width is too big. I have to use a large rubber band so that the edges don't fall down into the can. I don't think it has much stretch in order to tie it. The bag itself seems pretty strong.
